Wandering - April 25, 2020 - COVID-19

April 25, 2020  •  1 Comment

Had some out of house sanity time. Ryan and both went for a walk - by ourselves.

I was out for about 2 hours for a sedate stroll. There was so many flowers and stuff to photograph! Hurrying was not the name of today's game.

I left the house, wandered down Seymour Street towards Granville Bridge. And was sidetracked a couple times. First stop was the park at Denman and Davie. So many flowers!

If you keeps your eyes open while walking, you see thinks like this, just above eye height. It just happens to be glued on.

Lots of views to be had crossing the bridge. It was really windy out! Nearing the crest, the wind was picking up particles from the cement plant on Granville Island and flinging it in my face! Thank goodness for sunglasses! I did end up with grit plastered to my face though!

Once over the bridge and back down at ground level, the wind died down. There are many parks and flower beds along the False Creek seawall.

Under the Granville Street Bridge there usually murals of various sorts.

And then Geese! They were everywhere! And the do not care about you. Give them a reasonable distance because they can really hurt you. I came up slowly, none showed any concern, and I creeped closer to get these shots.

The water only had light ripples where there were no boats.

Even a couple kayackers were out. The view over the water was super clear.

Couple of geese walking their goslings down the busy seawall...as you do:

And what is Vancouver without some outdoor art?

Alas, all strolls need to bring you back home again. Up some stairs to the Cambie Bridge. On the downtown side, just off Cambie Bridge, Is the Hotel and Casino. It reflects brown on everything, which is not visually appealing. But at least they did something interesting.

And have these interesting bears...although they too pick up the brown.

Some last greenery prior to re-entering our concrete box.

Over all a very lovely walk. A shower was definitely required due to all the grit! After a nice warm shower - Chill out time.

Hope you enjoyed!
