Welcome back to my blog! It has been a while. I need to get better at uploading my photos! As usual ALL the photos are in the picture section of the site.
Back in January - Jenny, Tatiana and I took a girls trip to Puerto Vallarta. January is a great time to go!
We had a really early flight - but we all made! It was an uneventful flight. We landed in the early afternoon, made it to the resort, dumped our gear in the room and headed to the poolside for drinks and snacks! It was fabulous! It was hot, sunny and fantastic!

Isn't it pretty :-)
The first night we had a bunch of Pina Coloda's and Miami Vice's - and then I was down for the count. Not sure what Tatiana and Jenny did at that point. If you are anyone who know's me - Alcohol and I are not really friends!
The next day started out fantastic! Got in some pool time. I must say - These ladies are stunning.
Here is Tatiana

Here is Jenny

We spent time in the pool, looked at excursions for our upcoming week. Played in the pool, played in the ocean. Watched the sunset on the beach, had a lovely dinner. Life is Grand.

One of the Excursions we did was the Extreme Zip Line Adventure. Here we are waiting our turn to board the van!
Once we were there and geared up, wew were not allowed to carry cameras for safety, so the rest of the photos from this excursion are not taken by me.

It was so much fun. Lots of Zip Lines, of various lengths and speeds. You can go upside down or superman. There was also Rappelling, Crazy Ladders, Tight Ropes, Swing on a Surf Board, Archery, Hiking, UTV Trip and a Waterslide! I would absolutely do this one again (in fact - I just might soon!) It was a blast. Unfortunately with all most of these excursions the photos are soooo expensive, we bought Tatiana's, which has a few Photos of all of us. These are done by the Photographer.

Striking a pose...

We weren't having any fun at all - can you tell? lol.

These were our guides.

Tatiana wasn't sure she wanted to let go of the tree... Jenny was giving moral support.

Rappelling!

Flying through the sky! What a feeling!

Our UTV ride.

Superman! Look Ma! No Hands!

Archery like a Pro!

It was an exhausting day! Had dinner and made an early evening! (Well, Jenny and I did. Almost every night Tatiana went out Salsa Dancing - no idea where she got the energy! She was up early with us every day too!)
The next day we hit up the Malecon. It was early enough it was nice and quiet. and as you can tell, another fabulous day. The following pictures are from all our Malecon visits. I mixed up the photos and couldn't remember which were from what days. So these are a compliation.

Who knew birds had their own boats?

The sculptures along the Malecon are really something else, and there are a lot of them!

Although this may not have been what they had in mind when this one was made.... definitely entertained this little girl!

Tatiana made a new friend.

There was also some amazing sand castles

Stopped for lunch at Bubba Gumps.

Coronaita - interesting...

We Ordered Cerviche - which apparently means you need to "Shake It". Jenny did a fabulous job. It was tasty! This is how it is done!
Had to try on Forest Gumps shoes.

Such a lovely day!

Jenny was nice enough to indulge my camera :-)

And From the side - with Tatiana in the second picture

I have no idea how someone can balance rocks like this, but I saw the guy do it!

Minions!! (from Despicable Me - in case you didn't know)

Evening Photo Shoot!

You may have noticed - I really enjoy sunsets!

Our view at lunch on another day

Checked out the churches. I'm personally not religious, but I love the look and decor of churches

They found a man they can control 100% (We didn't bring him home. Almost free is not the same as free!)

Ah - Lovely couple...

Oh Jenny...

One of the Churches was all lit up. I need more practice with night shots... and a tripod.

We all got Henna Tattoos

More Beach Time! Those waves hit HARD! They definitely tried to knock us over! (Succeeded a lot - but i won't show the photo evidence)

Our next excursion was on a Banana Boat out to do some horseback riding, have lunch, and some snorkeling.

It was a little chilly on the water that early in the morning. Towels make good blankets!

We saw a whale! I only caught the tail on camera, but that is proof enough isn't it?

We arrive at a little town. We are told not to take photos with the iguana's that people keep and tip them. If people do, it encourages the kids to drop out of school, hatch an iguana and keep it in captivity for this purpose. Not all the iguanas were captives. Some were happily lounging in the sun.

So it turns out Tatiana has never been on a horse. She is a little nervous, but her horse is taking good care of her.

Jenny on the other hand is an old pro. Bring it on!

So we take a gentle ride up and down a few hills, and arrive at this lovely place. We leave the horses and splash through the refreshingly cool water to the snack shack at the top.

The view on the other side of the snack shack is this waterfall. Not a bad view at all! It was really really cold. Jenny and I were smart and stayed out. Crazy Tatiana went for a swim.

Now that she is sufficiently refreshed, she is game to ride the horse back. Look at her now!!

After a stream crossing - Jenny is still showing her confidence.

After this we went snorkling - but I had issues with my waterproof camera so I don't have any photos!! and then we had lunch at another spot. Then back to town on our Banana boat. We were tired!!
We got the photos from this Excursion from the photographer. They are posted in the main photo area (not on in this blog post).
The next day we went into town again - pictures are posted earlier.
We still had one more outing to do!
Our last excursion was Las Caletas Beach Hideaway http://www.vallarta-adventures.com/tours/las-caletas-day-trip
There was paddleboarding (we don't do too badly at that) Snorkling (I got stung a couple times by some mild jellyfish - hydrocortisone cleared it up).
Lots of birds, the beach was spectacular - it was our most relaxing excursion - which was good as we were pretty tired!!

This is taken off the side of the Catamaran.

On the nature tour - they showed us a termite's nest. It is huge!

And they showed us these creepy looking spiders. The sucker was fast!

Tatiana has found a new love.

So that is it for my photos. My camera took an unexpected dip in the ocean. Apparently it is allergic to salt water and did not survive.
All in all, it was a fabulous trip, with great friends. Absolutely something I will look forward to again! Thanks for stopping by!
